The way the screen is displayed is very comparable to vera whites display on the price is right (Vanna White = Wheel of Fortune? MA). Barack's smile is much wider and brighter than McCain's. They are currently projecting their predicted winners for different states, and Barack is taking the map. I sit here, feeling very anxious and nervous for the outcome of this election. I am extremely hopeful that Obama will win, but there is a lurking disposistion (disposition? is this the word you mean to use? BM) that old time tricks will play in, the government is rigged and McCain has rigged it somehow. I can imagine the riots that will break out if that happens, and maybe that is something that America needs. (sounds gruesome, why do we need that? wouldn't it be easier if obama just won?) The passion and rigor that is flowing through my veins I only hope the rest of America, and particularily the rest of my age group (the lowest voter turn out rate) VOTES and makes the right decision.
The editing of this election coverage on CNN reminds me of a cheesy infomercial for hair plugs or some other product that you don't need.(interesting observation. wonder how that reflects what they're trying to say. BM)It's almost like a sporting event and an auction all at once.(selling and celebrating, nice. BM) Fast talking host, holding papers, spouting off numbers. The more I think about the outcome of this election, the more nervous I am getting. What if all the hype about Obama, all the excitement, is lost and people really don't vote? America has a very low voter turnout rate after all. But I also think that this historic election is what we need to prove ourselves when we feel the opportunity to actually change something. The newscasters are not really looking at the camera. Their awareness of being onscreen is not really a concern, they are just reporting the facts as soon as they get in.(how do you think that affects the audience? BM)
Watching this election result coverage is pretty much the opposite of watching a movie in a theatre, everyone is talking, there is singing, the sound of people playing pool. (is this the answer to my previous question? good job. maybe relate this stuff to the fact that the reporters are too incoherent a bit more though. BM) This hubub and buzz is nice; there are many students gathered in here watching as results come in, even though they will not be known until much later tonight. They are playing up the suspense, saying that some states are 50/50...if McCain continues to underperform, he won't take the cake. The delicious cake that is the Presidency (Quality line. MA). The suspense builds further. They are giving a synopsis of what Barack is doing at home: spending time with his family, playing a little basketball, relaxing.
I've noticed that I've been refering to McCain as McCain and Obama as Barack. he's the kind of guy I could call by his first name.(very important and interesting observation. BM) I mean he is just so COOL. Did you see his three point jump shot he made in one try? I trust a man with a good jump shot. (Yeah, samesies. MA) And Barack won New Hampshire! A shot of everyone chanting Obamas name, like a sea of arms, waving American flags, shirts, holding up cameras, a very diverse crowd. It is truly awe inspiring! People are really coming together. Texas, a very suprising 48% voted for Obama...I don't want this to come off racist at all, but I am really glad that so many African Americans seem to be voting! Today on KMOJ 89.9, the DJ was like, "Yo, all y'all need to go out and vote! We need to make a difference! Just do your thang! Go vote." and that's awesome. Everyone is amped on it. And that's how politics should be. (This is a good point, because I think news coverage makes politics out to be a boring old man type thing, as opposed to something people can [and should] actively be participating in. MA)
There is so much great internet art dedicated to both candidates. (but somehow McCain can't find an artist anywhere to make him look half-way decent. la) Most of McCain's art associates him with The Sith Lord from Star Wars, (he is a bit evil emperor-esque. la) and Barack is associated with people like Abe Lincoln.(lol yeah. could that have to do with how bush has been portrayed and how the parties are seen? good observation. BM) That is a pretty accurate comparison for both. I'd say that this election is comparable to the greatest story of good vs. evil ever told. (I'm not sure if you meant to say that this is the greatest ex. of good vs. evil or if it's comparable, because if it's comparable, you maybe want to mention what is the greatest. Just a thought. MA) One would think that good would overcome evil, but things don't always end that way. If Barack Obama wins this election, it will be catastrophic. (Catastrophe is a bad thing... MA) Mind blowing. Life changing. For the sake of morality of mankind, he HAS to win. I don't know what I will do if McCain wins, but it will probably involve pointless violent crimes and maybe insanity. My mental heath depends on this. Everyone that isn't a moron (should be on Barack's side? should send up a cheer as well? course of action? la) (no offense) (take offense) depends on it.

I corrected a few grammar things and put in paragraph breaks, because it was a little tough to wade through in one big chunk. Sorry?
